What’s flying over my house right now
Well, not exactly right now but, seen flying by just outside my window recently were the following:
F22A Raptor
The only flying Avro Vulcan in the world
A very large Airbus A380
Which must mean that it’s almost Farnborough Airshow time again.

This is cool – I watched last night National Geography TV program on evolution of jet fighters – they focused on stealths: could you summarize the main differences between first, second and third generations (Raptor = third)?
Regardign Vulcan – Northrop himself envisioned “wing only” airplane many years ago – and build YB72. There were no fly-by-wire and computing technologies to correct for the aerodynamic deficiencies – project diud nto fly though airplanes did (put too much work on pilot to keep it in the air). Today there are several wing-only advanced airplanes.. based on similar design.
